Hello Ladies & Gents.. Meet the CEO, Tanae, the humble women girl from the east side of Cleveland, Ohio! Growing up, I’ve always watched one of my aunts (Rose) serve the city with different creative looks, always letting her freestyle on me. At the time, I was a basketball star. After graduating high school, I went on to the University of Akron to continue my journey majoring in Sports Medicine. After the first semester, as a full time college student, I knew I needed a HUSTLE & the girls needed their hair popped on campus. Of course, I got on YouTube, learned different techniques, & perfected them on myself. Next thing you knew.. I was known as “the girl that does $40 sew ins” from the campus to Cleveland every weekend. At this point, I wanted to come back home for good, make it a lifestyle, and had no clue how to explain this to my mother because I knew that lady NEVER played about her academics nor her money. Not only did I have the skill, but I grew a passion & fell in love. So here I am, back in Cleveland.. working day in & out til I was 25 & decided to get my own salon/boutique in Shaker Heights, Ohio! Despite the pandemic, holding me back a year, I never let it stop me! Of course, you face trial and error, challenges, and tests but I proudly & successfully must say, I wouldn’t have it any other way! Hair Affair Boutique is going on year 5 in business. We specialize in natural silk presses, hair extensions, braids, nails, makeup, lashes, waxing, & facials!
